Zaglebie Dabrowskie (literally Coal Fields of Dąbrowa) is historic and cultural region in the south of Poland. The region is the part of historical Malopolska, although now the bigger part of it belongs to Silesian voivodeship. Due to this fact Zaglebie Dabrowskie is often misleaden with Silesia.
The whole Zaglebie spans the cities Sosnowiec, Dabrowa Gornicza, Będzin, Czeladź, Zawiercie, Olkusz, Myszkow and the smaller surrounding towns and villages.
Forum dla Zagłębie Dąbrowskiego (FdZD) is the Polish Regional Assocciation, established on 11 November 2008 in Czeladz. The organization was registered in the Court nine months later.
Our goals:
- promotion of the Zaglebie Dabrowskie region
- supporting social initiatives in the subject of economy, environment, culture, sport and tourism
- cultivation of regional tradition and culture
- expressing opinions in matters of region
